I thought both 'indispensable' and 'essential' were possible
translations for <imprescindible>. Wouldn't you agree?
The original text reads:
"En ellos la visita personal es imprescindible, más aún,
implacable, y esto sería lo de menos; ..."
Which of the following would you use?
1. The personal visit is, in such places, indispensable,
furthermore, it is relentless, and that would be the least of it;
2. The personal visit is, in such places, essential, furthermore,
it is relentless, and that would be the least of it;

Yes, both 'relentless' and 'unending' convey the meaning better.
Thank you. I believe 'unrelenting' may be a third option.

It was written by the end of the XIX century.
Further comments welcome as always.
