¿Quizá el autor quiso escribir 'then'? Incluso en ese caso,
parece como si faltara algo.

2. El sujeto de la oración es 'the story', singular. ¿No debería
ser, entonces, 'The story of the trial, death and resurrection of
Jesus *is* told and performed ...'?
