Hello Raul
You have brought new life to our group!
I use two emails here, both silvermaple19215, and sarah25208.
It is funny that you should mention prepositions because I was just
thinking about the differences in propositions between Spanish and
English. For me, it is the major challenge of Spanish.
Yes, I think the only way I know is to list sentences with examples.
It simply has to be memorized.
I began my relationship with the Spanish language at the age of
twelve. In the university, I studied Spanish,English,American, and
German literature. I don't know why I love langauges so, but when I
am reading the literature in a native language I feel as though a key
has opened a special world, and I have been welcomed as a special
guest to learn the heart and soul of a culture.
But the reality of learning a "foreign" language is stressing the
brain with endless memorization of words and grammar rules. It is at
best, challenging, and at the worst, daunting and overwhelming.
Raul, we can post examples using prepositions here in both
languages. We ALL need practice with this. As I have time, I will
post examples, and anyone is welcome also to do the same.
The internet has given us a wonderful opportunity to learn languages,
and to learn about each other. I am glad you have joined this group.
