And this brings us to the practical question which is : is the car more harmful or useful to humanity as a whole ? ... and that is also a difficult one to answer. Interests are so divergent.

 

Whenever the harms outweight the benefits we should and probably will get rid of it. I have great confidence in the "ultimate" wisdom of humanity, it always .... eventually, sometimes the light is hard to find ..... self-corrects whatever is more harmfull than beneficial to the world in general.

 

It naturally proceeds by trial and error. Geniuses are few.

 

Good common sense, sound judgement, and fair justice for all are our only resorts for making the right choices in the continuing process of evolution.

There were two accidents here where we live in Abilene (west of Ft. Worth)
just in the past few days.

First there was a train derailment. It pretty much shut down traffic in the
area all day. The hazardous material in one tanker car had to be pulled off
and burned out. Fortunately no one was hurt.

Then two or three days ago a trucker went off an overpass and landed in a
creek. His truck caught fire and exploded and so sadly he was burned to
death. Perhaps he fell asleep--I don't think they will ever know.

My daughter and her friends were passing through here on the way to a
benefit concert for a man paralyzed in a recent accident that occured in
Austin.

Count your blessing each day that you live, and pray that we will dwell in a
beautiful place called Heaven for all eternity.
