I'm going to write in Spanish to give you some practice and also
because this way is easier to me :)
Aquí en Argentina es pasmosa la cantidad de accidentes carreteros.
Este país es uno de los que registra mayor cantidad de muertes en
las rutas en relación al número de habitantes. Esto obedece a
dos
principales factores:
1-muchas de las  carreteras del país han quedado obsoletas 
debido a que se mantienen tal como fueron hechas muchos años
atrás, y hoy el flujo de vehículos sobrepasa ampliamente sus
capacidades.
2-No hay una real conciencia en la gente sobre el peligro, ni
hay policías que hagan respetar las reglas de tránsito. Cuando
manejo en ruta quedo espantado al ver las audaces maniobras que
algunos hacen al tratar de adelantarse. Especialmente al pasar
camiones en lugares que no son los más adecuados para ello.
En realidad, a diferencia de otros países más avanzados,
aquí se le da la licencia de conductor a cualquiera. Creo que en
las
grandes ciudades, ahora se está exigiendo un poco más (lo
sabré bien
el mes venidero cuando tenga que renovarlo, tiene una vigencia de 5
años).
Pero hace algunos años, necesité sacar la licencia en una
localidad del interior (El Totoral-Córdoba) y me la dieron sin
saber siquiera si yo sabía manejar o no. El único requisito era tener
el dinero para pagarlo.
