I have heard of this happening with women marrying men from Arabic speaking countries. The man took the child or children, returned to his country, left the woman in the US or in Europe, and that was that. It left the woman trying to reach her children.....
As for Mexico, I don't know. It would depend on whether or not the Mexican government would even pursue such a situation. Maybe someone here knows. If it were me, I would be very leary.....and fearful. Based on what I know about the Mexican government...I would not take the chance.
