wartime when warriors might receive a feather they would put in their cap

Hold your horses (Be patient!)

Jawing (Talking or arguing)

Kit and caboodle (The whole thing)

Madder than an old wet hen (really angry)

Needs taken down a notch or two (like notches in a belt usually a young

not the only duck in the pond, but I do have too many irons in the fire. I
might just be barking at a knot, but I have tried to give this article more
than just a lick and a promise.

Hi friends,  This is an interesting article about the migration from the Western
European countries to Great Britain and Ireland.  I guess it coul be a good
exercise to English speakers to translate it. I would be very glad to correct
your mistakes.  I added to new paragraphs without translation. The article is
written in English. The translation is written in Spanish.  As usual,  I would
be a pleasure to get some comments about the Spanish version.  Can anyone please

months after enlargement; that is the number of Poles who arrive in Britain
every two days.

#4, I would say:

#5 -- Do you mean you want your daughters in a separate room? If yes, then:
Our two teenage daughters need a separate room with twin beds.

#8 Possibly:
Is it possible to have rooms with a good view?

Beyond that, what you said is just fine!

Yo diría "(la) etiqueta de precio" o "(la) etiqueta
que indica el precio", pero también me parece válido

just to write the things that daily happens to me. if somebody is willing to
correct my mistakes or show me a way of writing  the

La pregunta en inglés significa "¿Qué iban a ir a
comprar a Venecia?" (Aún no fueron a Venecia, solo
planearon comprar algo allí)

Para preguntar "¿Qué fueron a comprar a Venecia?", yo
diría: "What did they buy in Venice?" (Estuvieron en
Venecia y lo compraron)

I hope you've had a good weekend, Sue. It is nearly over here. Supper is
cooking. Daughter is struggling with the entire college experience, but I
believe she's doing ok. She apparently has one of the better pronunciation
abilities in the Spanish class, this early in the game.

Art is really her love. There will be a juried art show at the local museum
starting tomorrow. Daughter has 2 charcoals hung in the show: one is a
reproduction of an Ansel Adams photo of aspens; the other is a charcoal
version of a sunset over a lake in a National Geographic photo. She is also
doing a shadowbok with a display of some of the beaded earrings and silver
bracelets and a silver necklace she's made, mostly chainmaille. There are 2
pair of silver chainmaille earrings in the box.

Supposedly, people who have language abilities also have an aptitude for
math, but I'm not sure that is always true. She and I are struggling with
graphing functions!
