Bueno, he estado bastante ocupada con la Facultad y otros motivos,
por lo cual estuve tan desaparecida...
Aunque pasó un poco el tiempo, éstas son las últimas noticias que han
aparecido y recolecté de la red. Algunas están en Inglés: disculpas
si no entienden, pero no he podido traducirlas. Las que encontré en
Castellano, las puse...Ojalá les guste y APAREZCAN PLEASEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Desde el 6 de mayo de 1997, este día ha sido un tiempo de compartir y
celebrar el ser fan de esta banda (averigua). Alrededor del mundo,
hemos visto ejemplos de gente (tú) reuniéndose para compartir sus
intereses y su entusiasmo, en el proceso de construcción de una

After more than two years of tinkering on their third full-length
album, Hanson have cut their ties with Island Def Jam. The Hanson
brothers still plan on finishing up Underneath, despite having no
label home. The guys collaborated with Matthew Sweet on a few of the
album's songs, including the title track, as well as with producer
Bob Marlette. They're now in the studio with producer Danny Kortchmar
recording the final tracks for the album, which they hope to showcase
with a club tour.

For its third proper studio album, Hanson may go it alone. The
Tulsa-based pop trio this week severed ties with its record label,
Island Def Jam, citing creative differences. "Our vision for the
songs and the production of this record was something we wouldn't
compromise," Taylor Hanson said Friday in a press release. "we are
thrilled to finally be able to finish the record and move forward
with our career."
The group has not signed a new contract with another label to release
its forthcoming album "Underneath." The band's management told Tulsa
World that numerous record labels have shown interest in the
internationally famous band, but no new business plans yet have been
decided. There are, however, plans for an intimate club tour and an
Internet preview of the new album's songs. No specific dates or
locations have been announced.
The Tulsa trio is currently in the studio working with producer Danny
Kortchmar (Billy Joel, Don Henley, Jon Bon Jovi, James Taylor, Neil
Young) for the new - and long-delayed - record.
In the press release, Kortchmar said he is impressed with teh group's
level of creativity. "In a flavor-of-the-minute environment for
music, I'm very happy to be able to work with a band like Hanson, who
are real musicians with a strong vision of what they want to achieve
artistically," Hanson rocketed to stardom in 1997 with the
album "Middle of Nowhere," which launched three Top 10 singles and
earned three Grammy nominations. The group has since sold more than
15 million records. The trio of brothers lives in Tulsa.

* Sino fueran I/T/Z Hanson .. les gustaría la música de
Hanson? Me he dado cuenta que muchos musicos hacen musica de un
genero totalmente distinto al que les gusta escuchar. Si la musica
que hacen no es la musica que les gusta... como los representa? No se
supone que debe ser algo muy personal? Que es lo que piensan?

Siempre es dificil decir si te gustaría tu propia musica. Creo que la
respuesta es si nos gusta nuestra musica es por eso que la hacemos.
Tienes razon, el arte que realizas debe ser un reflejo de ti y de lo
que quieres decir al mundo. Lo veo como una oportunidad para hablar
sobre las cosas que estan en tu alma, y las cosas que le importan a
otras personas. Claro no SIEMPRE amas tu propia musica :o) TAYLOR

* Hay rumores de que dejan IDJ Records. Hay alguna verdad en esto? O
tendremos que esperar al documental para saber? De todos modos,
esperare pacientemente.

Nuestra relacion con Island no era productiva, esta separacion se
veía venir desde hace un largo tiempo (por lo tanto el largo proceso
del álbum). Estamos muy emocionados de trabajar con una disquera que
entienda lo que queremos hacer con nuestra musica, esto no es nada
mas que una buena noticia. No podiamos responder a esta pregunta
porque estabamos en el balance de negociaciones con IDJ. Ahora
ustedes han oido por otros lados que ya no estamos con ellos, asi que
la respuesta es SI ahora somos libres. Ustedes deben estar
emocionados, porque es un paso en la direccion correcta. Tambien el
documental les contará la historia completa. Ustedes son los mejores.
