MARIE STOPES STUDENT TRAVEL AWARDS

The Willi Hennig Society is again offering competitive funds for students to travel to the this year's society meetings in New Orleans (June 28 - July 2, 2007; see http://cladistics.org/meetings.html). Up to 15 awards not to exceed $500 each will be awarded to students presenting either a paper or poster at the annual meeting.  Applications should be submitted electronically and consist of a CV, a travel budget to justify the proposed expenses, and a one-page abstract (not to exceed 500 words) of a paper or poster to be presented at the meeting. Only students are eligible, and a student's major professor must certify the student's status with a separate email. All registered students (whether Stopes recipients of not) also receive a complementary ticket to the society banquet. Deadline for applications is May 1, 2007. Awards will be announced by June 1.
