Location: Margarita Island, Nueva Esparta State, Venezuela
Background Information: Margarita Island is one of the most important places
to leatherbacks.Since 1999 The GTTM-NE has developed an integrated research
program that include 3 componnets Community integration, Environmental
Education and Beaches monitoring.
Duties: Each night on the beaches, you’ll monitor nesting leatherbacks,
measuring and tagging them, recording nest position, and counting eggs
During the day, you may help in the turtle hatchery.

Requirements: Ability to walk on soft sand for long periods each night.
