Costa Rica.
This study will assess the association of timing and location of
migration in the White-ruffed
Manakin with 3 factors potentially explaining their movement patterns.
We will work at 3
elevations, mist-netting, measuring fruit production, quantifying
arthropod abundances, and
conducting an artificial nest predation experiment. Conditions are
almost always wet, and
accommodations range from cushy to remote camping. This work will begin
mid Jan 2004
and continue until mid Nov 2004. Assistants should be willing to commit
to at least 3

skills and mist-netting
experience. Prior experience in the tropics, botanical and/or
entomological knowledge, musical
skills, Spanish, and out-doors-(wo)man-ship all are pluses, but not
required. I will cover all
station fees, food and accommodation. Please send a letter stating why
you are interested in this
