Dear colleagues, The Catholic University of Ecuador announces the 11th Workshop of South American Specialists on Aquatic Mammals and 5th Conference of the Latin American Society of Specialists on Aquatic Mammals (SOLAMAC) will take place in Quito, Ecuador between 12 and 17 September 2004. The conference will be held at the Catholic University of Ecuador in Quito, the capital of this country, located 200 km from the Eastern Tropical Pacific Ocean. This meeting will focus on presenting ideas and research findings from different disciplines in order to enhance our understanding and knowledge regarding aquatic mammals. Experts from the scientific research community, research groups, technologists and students will meet to exchange information and experiences on innovative topics in the field of aquatic mammal science.
