2006 / PRESENTATIONS AT GAMEBIRD 2006 ( (Castellano)
Estamos
animando a investigadores de américa latina que
trabajan con las aves de la cacería terrestres para someter resúmenes para
presentaciones en Gamebird 2006 en la Universidad de
Georgia, Athens, Georgia EE.UU.
del 31 de mayo al 4 de junio de 2006.
La
presentación debe centrarse en los tópicos que pertenecen a la cosecha, ya sea paea la subsistencia, deporte, o el mercado de pájaros
vivos. Además, siguiendo la reunión se ofrecerá un taller gratis de una semana
sobre la estimación de poblaciones y el uso y la aplicación de la telemetría
para las aves de cacería, destinado a los investigadores latinoamericanos que
estudian las aves de la cacería, interesados en mejorar sus habilidades de
investigación y de publicación.
Nos
proponemos que los participantes salgan del taller con habilidades y materiales
de referencia para asistirles cuando vuelven a sus países de origen. El taller
tratará los siguientes tópicos:

diseño de proyectos de investigación de campo
-
estimación de abundancia
-
estudios de la encuesta sobre la presencia/la ausencia
-
muestreo de la distancia
-
utilización de la telemetría de radio
-
determinación de parámetros demográficos
-
determinación de hábitat.
La
participación en la reunión no es obligatoria para participar en el taller. El
espacio en el taller es limitado, así que los participantes serán elegidos según
su potencial de volver a su país de origen y aplicar y diseminar lo aprendido
en la taller.

We are encouraging researchers from Latin America who work with
terrestrial gamebirds to submit abstracts for
presentations at Gamebird 2006 at the University of
Georgia, Athens, Georgia USA from May 31 – June 4 2006.

The 1st European Congress of Conservation Biology is a multidisciplinary
meeting within the general theme of 'Diversity for
workshops, contributed papers, and field trips. The official language of the
meeting will be English.
The CALL FOR SYMPOSIA AND WORKSHOP of the 1st European Congress of Conservation
Biology is presented on the homepage of the congress
(www.eccb2006.org). The organisers invite all interested colleagues to submit a
proposal according to the guidelines on the homepage. Help us to
disseminate the CALL in your institute, and to your interested colleagues.
Prospective attendees, authors and presenters are encouraged to indicate their
interest in attending the conference or to send their comments
through the website. Pre-registered participants will be informed about latest
updates, and the comments will help the organisers in planning the
congress.
