Job Description:
Action Without Borders-Idealist.org is seeking a detail-orientated individual who will be responsible for reviewing and addressing quality concerns related to new content posted on Idealist.org, as well as providing customer service to organizations and individuals, primarily via email, but also by phone. Aside from the primary responsibility of content review, the User Support Associate may also asked to assist in the testing new site features, and provide support in the absence of other team members or on other projects as needed.
While we are seeking someone with some familiarity with the nonprofit sector, this position does not require that you be an expert in the field. Most desirable is someone who has a strong attention to detail, can provide customer service in a friendly and efficient manner, enjoys working both on individual projects and within a team situation, has the ability to stay focused and engaged with routine content review, and thrives in an environment of making connections across the organization´s teams and programs.
This position will be based in our Buenos Aires office, and will report to the Idealist User Support Manager in Buenos Aires.
The User Support Associate´s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
o Approving new organization and consultant profiles for the site according to our eligibility criteria
o Reviewing and addressing quality concerns related to new program, resource, event, volunteer, internship, and campaign postings listed on Idealist.org
o Serving as a back-up support for job posting review
o Providing additional support in the absence of other team members or in times of content overflow
o Providing customer service to organizations, consultants and individuals via email and phone
o Assisting individual users with their member accounts
o Testing new website features as needed
o Coordinating with staff working on our Spanish and French sites as needed
o Assisting on other projects as needed
Additional Qualifications:
o Native English speaker or fluent in English (spoken and written)
o Excellent communications skills, both written and over the phone: with the particular ability to distill complex processes and explain them in simple steps
o Experience in assessing and addressing customer service needs in a friendly and efficient manner
o Strong attention to details and ability to prioritize projects
o Familiarity with basic Microsoft programs and internet research
o Willingness to learn specific database applications
o Ability to follow through on using specific systems and protocols as well as teach to others
o Strong commitment to promoting the work of the nonprofit/NGO sector
o Ability to work with a diverse staff
o Comfortable working independently as well as in a team
o Extremely flexible, with an ability to change directions very quickly
o Currently resides in Argentina
o Can make a minimum one year commitment
o Bachelors degree preferred
