El Festival Internacional de Cine y Television de Cartagena invita a
todos los interesados a enviar sus proyectos para los eventos
teoricos del Festival 2007, que se llevara a cabo del 2 al 9 de marzo.
En la proxima edicion del festival habra dos ejes tematicos para las
conferencias, talleres y seminarios: "El cine y el periodismo" y "El
jazz y el cine". El objetivo es profundizar sobre cada uno de estos
ejes durante la semana del evento. Se reciben propuestas antes del 1
de mayo.

La Muestra Nacional de Artes Electronicas Experimenta Colombia,
convoca a los artistas nacionales o residentes en Colombia que
desarrollen propuestas de videoarte a participar en la segunda
version de la muestra, que tendra lugar en el mes de septiembre de
2006. La convocatoria estara abierta entre el 5 de abril y el 31 de
julio. Experimenta Colombia, organizado por un grupo
interdisciplinario independiente, llevo a cabo su primera edicion en
marzo de 2005 en Bogota y Medellin, con una muestra latinoamericana
que incluyo la participacion de cinco paises: Argentina, Brasil,
Mexico, Peru y Colombia.

El ano que viene, manana mismo, dentro de cinco minutos, quizas, o
dentro de cien anos, alguien, con cualquier intencion, se encargara
de hablar o escribir por nosotros en general o por cada uno. Ese
alguien pretendera expresar nuestra memoria, nuestros pensamientos e
ideas, como le venga bien.

Vamos, pues, a adelantarnos: vamos a decir lo que queremos decir, lo
que queremos que digan por nosotros, lo que no hemos dicho nunca o lo
que queramos inventar.

Alguien dijo a la posteridad: sean benevolos con nosotros que no
pudimos serlo con nosotros mismos.

Digamos lo que nos de la gana, para eso somos nosotros.

Esta es la esencia de la entrevista :

In the global economy, collaboration within groups of geographically
dispersed knowledge workers is quickly becoming the locus of
creativity and innovation. Advanced Information and Communication
Technologies (ICT) that
enable e-Collaboration enhance group work, especially when teams must
share information and make decisions across business and national
boundaries.
These e-Collaboration technologies within multidisciplinary and
technologically complex work groups are paving the way towards
collaborative environments involving both human and artificial
artefacts. Collaborative environments will orchestrate interaction
within networks of workers, partners and customers to boost
creativity and innovation.

E-collaboration technologies will supply seamless connectivity to
allow work anywhere and anytime. Moreover, they will help to manage
the complexity
derived from the diversity of workers, knowledge and other resources
that must coordinate effort on a collective creative task.
E-Collaboration technologies will ensure access to contextualised
services (such as shared
digital images) and will assure easy interaction among team members.

Environments endowed by e-Collaboration technologies will provide
access to expanded, shared experience and knowledge and facilitate
meetings among team
members to deliver more creative ideas. More participants can be
involved in the innovation process, qualified by knowledge and not by
proximity. User
friendly "physual" (i.e., combining physical and virtual)
collaborative environments will support the participation of
previously unavailable expertise (e.g., from the elderly) into the
creation of new innovative products.

We welcome submissions that address issues associated with
e-collaboration involving creativity and innovation processes.
Contributions might focus on
the design of e-collaboration technologies, their impact on team
composition and outcomes, or the collaborative processes the teams
adopt to address their creativity and innovation needs. Examples of

not limited to):

Submission guidelines:

All submissions must be in English, and should represent the original
work of the authors. Improved versions of papers previously published
in conference proceedings are welcome, provided that no copyright

este es mi segundo llamado a colaborar con mi proyecto (Fondo
Audiovisual): un libro de animacion que lleva una investigacion de la
animacion en America Latina y Chile. Por favor, los animadores
envienme un curriculum corto, nombre y ficha tecnica de sus obras,
premios obtenidos, y dos imagenes de ellas en buena resolucion (300
dpi) con una carta de autorizacion para publicarlas. Tambien me
interesa cualquier informacion sobre los pioneros de la animacion en
cada pais y actuales realizadores.

Ha habido cualquier colaboracion desde Argentina, Cuba, Uruguay y
Brasil, sin embargo aca en Chile han sido solamente dos los
interesados en aparecer o aportar datos. Es muy importante ya que no
existe ninguna investigacion al respecto.

BNMI has just launched its new co-production residency model which
includes three exceptional programs led by three peer advisors. Apply

BNMI's Co-production program is devoted to the production and
presentation of the work of new media practitioners. The connections
between art, technology, media, and cultures are continuously
explored, by bringing together interdisciplinary participants in
intensive co-production media lab residencies. The residencies

website a couple of weeks ago where all their research material can
be accessed for free. Interested
parties can get hold of a total of 47,000 digital documents from 16
institutions the Digital Academic Repositories.'

Culture Machine is currently seeking contributions to a similar
international open access archive - in this case for cultural studies
and related fields: new media, digital culture, communication and
media studies, visual culture, literary, critical and cultural
theory, post-colonial theory and so on.

The archive, called CSeARCH, which stands for Cultural Studies
e-Archive, is completely free to download from and upload into.

You can find CSeARCH at:

Here you can browse the archive and read and download its contents.
It already contains over 500 books, book chapters, journal issues,
articles, interviews and lectures by everyone from Adorno, Agamben,

and Zizek, to mention just some of the most well known names.

NATIONAL ACADEMY FOR FILM AND THEATER (SOFIA BULGARIA)

Students association at National Academy for Film and Theater in
Sofia Bulgaria are currently working on the development of a special
distribution network on internet for students and new authors. The
objective is to provide a stage to young artists and to enable them
to get fair profit from their works. In addition our goal is to
create a distribution system in which the artistic component will be
central.

We already have a commitment from companies in Canada and in Bulgaria
to deal with the organization and distribution of our signal on a low
definition for cellular phone users in 5 East European countries. The
signal will be on internet for free, but a broadcasting quality
could be obtained with payment. From the profit 10% will go for the
technical support and the rest will be divided between the author
and the university. In case of an independent production 90 % of the
profit will go to the author of the material.

Objecives
Studentchanel.com is an innovative concept of a distribution network
of feature films, documentaries, news, and science programmes created
by young or new producers and directors. The existence of such a
network, where content rather than technical effects will be
emphasized is long overdue. It will also give an opportunity only to
many talented directors, some of whom win awards in festivals but do
not get their work presented on the international stage.

Process
1)Submission
Via internet the works of the authors will be received compressed
into 20 mb files and will be offered to the public Quick Time PC -Mac
format. The material submitted will obligatory have to attach an
affidavit about copyrights ownership and author's responsibility.

The structure of the network will be built on democratic principles.
The material submitted will be checked on line by a commission
composed of members located in different parts of the world. They
will be voting with yes or no and the selected material will be added
in a chronological order to the memory of the computer. It will be
strictly forbidden for the members of the commission to be in contact
with each other. Their work will be on a volunteer basis. The
voluntary involvement is triggering big interest among students in
some Canadian universities with whom preliminary conversations took
place. They see this as a very important and forming experience The
only people who will be payed are the technical support staff, the
adninistration and the advisors. Their salaries will be based by the
network financial capacity, workload and experience.

3)Broadcasting
A specially created computer programme will take the selected
material and will edit the final signal. Only the news will be
treated differently. Due to the emergency of the information the
selection processe will be simplified. The news will be separated by
regions as well as by some important topics as seen through the eyes
of the young journalists and cameramen. There will be news editors on
duty who will be allowed to make decisions on the spot. A chance will
be given to scientist from different fields to demonstrate their
achievements and points of view as well. English will be the working
language with an option for broadcasting in some other languages. The
final signal will be going into the Net through a Streaming server.


Finance
Access to the signal will be free. Viewers or organisations who are
interested in obtaining a broadcasting quality have to be in contact
with a separate server and pay for that. The price will be determined
by only one factor - the average salary of the country from which the
buyer is located. This system will give a chance to distributors and
organisations all over the world to have reasonable prices. Eighty
per cent (90% ) of the money earned from the sales will go to the
director and the producer of the broadcasted material and the rest
will be for administrative work and technical suport. The only
organizations which will manage the network and the financial aspect
of it are Studentchanel.com and NATFIZ.

Market
Studentchanal.com is for viewers of all age groups. There are already
cable distributors in Eastern Europe who are interested in organising
a simultaneous translation. This does not include the people who will
have chance to look at it virtualy everywere with PC, Palm PC or
selluler pfone. All this makes the chanel an attractive place for
advertisement. The organisations which would like to participate in
this project will have to provide an access to fast speed internet to
their its people in order to have the right to submit names to serve
as members of the juries.

Lancando um edital a cada dois completa anos, agora em sua 6a edicao,
e conhecida em todo o Brasil por ser um programa que abre espaco para
a producao
artistica emergente e a consequente reflexao que a acompanha.

Para o bienio 2007-2008, o programa TEMPORADA DE PROJETOS e realizado
pelo Paco das Artes, instituicao que mostra e pensa a arte
contemporanea
atraves de exposicoes, cursos, ciclos de debates, palestras,
oficinas, publicacoes e visitas monitoradas, promovendo a integracao
entre todos os segmentos das artes visuais.

A TEMPORADA DE PROJETOS 2007-2008 realizara 20 (vinte) exposicoes
individuais em espaco coletivo, selecionadas dentre os projetos
inscritos.

@ BASE DE DATOS UMDB (URUGUAY MOVIE DATA BASE)

La ASOCIACION DE PRODUCTORES Y REALIZADORES DE CINE Y VIDEO DEL
URUGUAY (ASOPROD) convoca a los realizadores uruguayos a inscribir
sus obras en
la base de datos UMDB (Uruguay Movie Data Base).

El objetivo es centralizar en un catalogo web las producciones
uruguayas, tanto de largos como cortos, incluyendo los generos
ficcion, animacion y documental. Para ello se envia una ficha tipo
para rellenar que luego sera ingresada.

El objetivo es poder ofrecer un listado completo de la produccion
uruguaya, que en los ultimos anos ha aumentado pero de la cual aun no
hay informacion sistematizada. Esta seria difundida a festivales y
muestras del exterior, para que puedan consultar sobre obras
existentes y les permita comunicarse directamente con los
productores, sin depender de un tercero que establezca el contacto.

Cabe destacar que en los ultimos anos ha crecido el interes en el
extranjero por realizar muestras de cine uruguayo y creemos que esta
herramienta es cada vez mas necesaria. Este link serviria como una
ventana al mundo de nuestra oferta, el cual seria difundido tambien
por el INA y la Cinemateca Uruguaya.

Luego de ser llenadas, las fichas deben ser enviadas a:
umdb@...
para comenzar a elaborar la base de datos.

@ ARTLAB_SAN SERVOLO ARTIST RESIDENCY (ITALIA)

artLAB_San Servolo artist residency is a residency programme that
takes place on the Island of San Servolo in Venice during the month
of August, open to 10 visual artists from Italy and abroad who are in
the initial phase of their careers. The programme offers
participating artists room and board on the island, studio spaces,
and the budget to create an original work.

The residency is intended to create a space for dialogue and
professional growth for emerging artists from various geographical
areas and with different artistic approaches, enabling them to create
projects specifically in response to the experience of group
exchange. The projects are developed individually by each artist, but
the initiative is particularly focussed on the collective experience
that runs throughout all the phases of the residency, from discussion
on the residency theme, to the creation of the projects, to the
organisation of the final exhibition. Another fundamental aspect of
the programme is the attention given to the historical, social, and
natural context provided by the residency location.

The works created will be shown in an exhibition that will take place
on the island in October, concurrently with the Venice International
Biennial Exhibition of Architecture, and will be accompanied by a
catalogue.
The working language of the residency is English.

Island of San Servolo

Situated in the Basin of San Marco and featuring a complex of
historical buildings and a large park, the Island of San Servolo was
the seat of a monastery for over a thousand years. For two hundred
years it hosted the Province of Venice insane asylum, which was shut
down in 1978 along with all the mental hospitals in Italy.

Rehabilitated by the Province of Venice, which is committed to
restoring and returning the island to the city of Venice, today San
Servolo is the seat of prominent institutions for advanced study and
training as well as for the promotion of cultural events.

Os produtores independentes e entidades do setor audiovisual do Rio
Grande do Sul passam a partir de agora a ter a oportunidade de
desenvolver projetos em parceria ou com a consultoria da Fundacine. A
fundacao lanca o Programa de Banco de Projetos Fundacine, uma
iniciativa que tem como objetivo incentivar a producao de trabalhos
independentes na area cinematografica tais como seminarios,
exposicoes, livros e catalogos, entre outros. A selecao dos projetos
levara em conta a qualidade das propostas e sua consonancia com os
objetivos da Fundacine.

As propostas devem ser de entidades, empresas ou pessoas fisicas
atuantes na area cultural, ligadas diretamente ao setor audiovisual
do Rio Grande do Sul. Nao serao aceitos projetos para producao ou de
finalizacao de filmes de animacao, ficcao e documentarios.

A inscricao e gratuita e o nao ha restricao quanto ao numero de
projetos apresentados. A ficha de inscricao e todas as informacoes
estao disponiveis no site da Fundacine
(<http://www.fundacine.org.br>). O formulario de inscricao deve ser
completamente preenchido e assinado, e entregue pessoalmente ou via
Correios na sede da Fundacine (Rua dos Andradas, 1234 sala 1006,
Porto Alegre RS). O prazo de inscricao e de 2 de maio a 30 de junho
de 2006. Nao serao aceitos projetos fora do prazo de inscricao.

A selecao dos projetos serao analizados por uma comissao composta por
membros do conselho curador e da diretoria da entidade. A Fundacao
Cinema RS e a instituicao formada por entes publicos e privados e
desenvolve os projetos RodaCineRGE, Premio RGE Governo RS de Cinema e
a Cinemateca Capitolio. Por excelencia, a entidade coordena os
esforcos pela implantacao da industria cinematografica gaucha. Seus
projetos e programas de trabalho preveem a formulacao de politicas e
estrategias dirigidas a aglutinacao de agentes publicos e privados e
a construcao de um sistema economico apto a potencializar o talento e
a capacidade de empreendimento dos agentes locais.

@ CONVOCATORIA PARA LA EXPOSICION DE FOTOGRAGRAFIA "UNA FOTO ESCUELA

Se convoca a los fotografos de Cuba y del resto de America Latina
que deseen exponer en la "Una Foto Escuela/Fototeca de Entre Rios".
Para ello deben enviar sus trabajos en CD con las fotos a exponer o
enviar un link para seleccionar trabajos con el proposito de armar
muestras individuales durante el ano 2006 y 2007 en las salas de la
Fototeca. Se ofrece albergue gratuito y comidas durante la estadia y
otros espacios a designar durante la visita del fotografo al pais. La
Galeria esta dirigida por el reconocido fotografo, musico, cineasta y
artista argentino Eduardo Segura.

Este espacio cultural es muy respetado por los fotografos y artistas
que lo visitan. Por ello desde el 2005 se ha formado un grupo de
trabajo constante de investigacion proponiendo un intercambio
Turistico-Cultural. a las actividades para que a partir de alli
puedan presentarse nuevas ideas y estrategias relacionadas a las
artes fotograficas actuales y, lograr en el futuro un polo
fotografico. Parana hace unos anos ya es considerada un espacio
cultural fotografico, que se debe en parte a la labor realizada
desde esta galeria y escuela.

La galeria consta de 4 salas de exposicion iluminadas y equipadas con
los elementos de exposicion basica y tambien a los fotografos que
deseen venir a exponer se les alberga en un Appart Hotel durante su
estadia, tambien el espacio propone

otras muestras en espacios y galerias asociadas en Argentina. Todo
sin costo para los expositores.
