ed Art + New Media (aka The Photographers Gallery and Video Verite Artist Run Centre) requires a Technical Resources Coordinator. This new position at the centre replaces the position of Production Coordinator and is integral to the development of paved Art + New Media and to Saskatoon's video, audio and digital arts communities.
 
The Technical Resources Coordinator is responsible for:
- Educating members, staff, and visiting artists as to software, resources and production facilities available at the centre.
- Convening and coordinating the Technical Resources Team.
- Maintaining our digital production suites (video and audio).
- Coordinating a group of on-call technical volunteers and paid technicians on a project-by-project basis, including the "house calls" and help desk programs for trouble-shooting and assistance.
- Facilitating technical support at screenings and events, etc.
- Coordinating and technically supporting production and digital workshops and chat groups.
- Assembling quotes and support material and writing descriptions and rationales for production or capitol acquisition grants and maintenance and testing of current production facilities.
- Keeping up-to-date records of edit suite usages and providing these as support material for operating grants.
- Coordinating rentals, editing suite hours, invoices and logs to do with production facilities.
- Assisting with New Media based projects and the streaming of web sites and internal networks.

The successful candidate will possess:
- a degree in Fine Arts or equivalent professional arts experience
- a thorough knowledge of non-linear editing softwares and video/audio production equipment
- a proven ability to learn new methods of digital production.
- the ability to work with programming teams and contribute to consensus decision-making.

Hours and Salary: 24,000-26,000 per year commensurate with experience (Based on a 30 hour work week). Full medical and dental plan. With the potential to be increased to Full-time. (i.e., 40 hour/week,

Candidate must be detail-oriented and highly organized; possess strong quantitative skills; and have the ability to handle multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines. Must work well independently as well as in a team environment and be service-oriented.

Requires extensive knowledge of computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Access, including proficiency in chartmaking. Knowledge of relational databases and familiarity with SQL query language a plus.

Candidate should have effective writing, proofreading, and oral communications skills; and the interpersonal skills and collegial attitude required in a small department.
