Interesante noticia. Lo chévere del software libre es que es algo como
lo que nos muestra el escrito que Daniel nos comparte no forzosamente
pasa sólo en UK. Acá en Colombia estamos construyendo una distribución
rompecabezas, llamada Tangram Linux, que puede adaptarse a diferentes
necesidades (entre ellas, claro está, las del sector educativo). Si todo
va bien, para este semestre esperamos tener tres minimódulos (los
componentes arquitectónicos que puedes ser modificados, agregados o
quietados de acuerdo a las necesidades), con claro interes educativo: Un
componente de álgebra computacional (scilab, texmacs, maxima, yacas,
axiom), otro de lenguajes de programación interpretados (DrPython,
DrScheme) y otro más de lenguajes orientados a objetos (SmallTalk). Por
supuesto en la medida en que más gente se vincule al proyecto podremos
brindar mayores minimódulos y mayor flexibilidad. La barrera de ingreso
es poco baja (necesitamos desde usuarios finales y beta testers hasta
hackers del kernel) y en la parte técnica, la curva de aprendizaje es
poco inclinada (cualquiera que sepa comandos básicos de bash, puede

descargar nuestras imágenes ISO para las primeras betas. Sea esta
