Dear readers,
We use Visual Smalltalk for 12 years now for one major product of our company. I think that it's clear to everyone that Visual Smalltalk is sunsetted by Cincom. Is this the way that Cincom handles technologie?. Just kill it, and throw away a very nice development environment with years development in it? I think it's a shame.
Ofcourse Cincom will NOT make VS(E) opensource because they don't want it to become a competitor to VisualWorks. I understand that.
For my hobby programming I'm now using Python (look at it, it's very good and increasing popular).
But I really miss our famous "ClassHierarchyBrowser". Maybe I will code it for Python, when I have the time..... (doing that is called "engineering the wheel again")
