O infeliz anúncio veiculado por vocês, afirmando que “não ter um
amigo vegetariano” é algo que “não tem preço” tem caráter
discriminatório e, portanto, é crime perante as leis vigentes no país.
Sou cliente do cartão Mastercad há vários anos, mas não hesitarei em
cancelá-lo se a empresa não se retratar a altura. Sou atuante no movimento
vegetariano nacional e internacional e além de informar a todos os grupos e
organizações do ocorrido, instarei a que boicotem esta empresa e manifestem seu
repúdio a este preconceito inaceitável.
Constituímos advogado para nos orientar quanto às medidas judiciais
cabíveis que serão impetradas caso não haja retratação satisfatória.

Dear Sir,
The unhappy advertisement published by you asserting
that it is “A priceless thing: do not have a vegetarian friend” has
a discriminatory character and so it is a crime according to Brazilian Law.
I am a client of Mastercard for many years but will
not hesitate to cancel it if this company does not recant itself worthily.
I’m active in the international and national vegetarian movement and
besides informing groups and organizations of the matter I’ll ask them to
boycott this company and to manifest their repudiation to this unacceptable
prejudice.
We already constituted a lawyer to guide us and to
take the appropriate measures in the case of an unsatisfactory retractation.
