March 2017 edition now on-line
The March 2017 edition of RC Soaring Digest (3.8MB) is now available for downloading from the RCSD web site <http:/www.rcsoaringdigest.com>. You can download a larger version (8.2MB) of the PDF, suitable for printing, from <http:/www.rcsoaringdigest.com/pdfs/Originals/>, or a more highly compressed version (2.7MB) from the Files section of this Group.
With 36 pages, this issue is smaller than average, but it is packed with information on a wide variety of topics of interest to RC soaring enthusiasts. Thanks to Gordy Stahl, eleven pages are devoted to information on the "new" F3RES Class. There's also a new airframe from Aer-O-Tec.de, new technologies from NASA which may eventually find their way into RC soaring, book reviews (thanks to Paul Remde / Cumulus Soaring), an unusual scale design for the slope, plus a couple of articles for those interested in dynamic soaring.
The deadline for the April issue of RC Soaring Digest is March 15. As this edition is available several days earlier than the normal schedule, there are a few extra days available for submitting materials before the deadline.
We rely on readers for submission of materials for publication. We are always in need of materials regarding technical topics, modelling tools, event coverage, airframe builds, books, basic and advanced aircraft design, kit/ARF reviews, flying sites and travelogs, and other relevant subjects. We are also continually looking for photos for front and back covers as well as single internal pages.
You do not have to be a professional writer or photographer to contribute items to RCSD. Simply write in a conversational style, as if you were speaking to a fellow aeromodeller - as that is precisely what you're doing. And there are always resources available to help you out, so if you run into difficulties you need only drop an email message to us to obtain assistance.
Hoping to hear from you soon!
